How to search?
When you click SEARCH button from main menu, OPAC mode will appear. There are several icons inside the buttons that represent specific materials to search:
How to search the databases?
1. Type any keywords inside a text box;
2. After entering the keywords, you may select from Drop down lists (Fields and Boolean operators):
Specific field search may be done by clicking the following boxes appearing in the monitor:
a. Author - when searching for specific author/s;
b. Title – when searching for specific titles;
c. Subject – when searching under a subject;
d. Call number – searching only special call numbers.
Boolean operations
a. And – search two keywords combined by AND operations. In searching, it will appear like this: Environment AND Education
b. Or – means you search two keywords combined by OR operations. In searching, it will appear like this: Environment OR Climate;
c. Phrase – search for documents containing an exact sentence or phrase opposed to being limited to keywords.
3. After entering the keywords, press ENTER key or click SEARCH button to run the search.
4. The search results will appear inside a list view.
5. Select any of the search hits in list view by double clicking a title to view full information of a record.
Other commands in Search mode are:
1. CLEAR – Click this to empty data inside keyword text box.
2. CLOSE – Click this to exit from Search mode.
3. SAVE - to save any of the records from the search hits in the list box by pointing to a record and click then click this command button.
4. PRINT – to print all the saved records by clicking this command button.
5. DELETE – to delete a selected record that already saved for printing.
6. EMPTY - to delete all records that already saved for printing.

- Analytic or Book Article – this is database of articles written by different authors and compiled into one publication;
- Audio-Visual Materials or Special Materials – database of non-print and other special materials like maps
- Information files or Vertical files – database of clippings, reprints and loose leaf articles, and other types of documents
- Academic researches or Thesis and Dissertations Abstracts – database of theses and dissertations and other course works.
- Cases and Jurisprudence – database of cases and other law related materials
- Periodical Literature – database index of articles from different periodicals, journals, newsletters, etc.
